Support instance that has, among other competencies, to manage the University general administrative activities among the University General Rectorate and the Campuses. This function is carried out based on the University Legislation and, particularly, on University Management Policies.

In order to achieve and effective functional and administrative decentralization, and institutional resources rationalization, the organic structure of the General Secretariat consists of the following University dependencies: Administration and Labor Relations Coordination; Dissemination General Coordination, Institutional Information General Coordination, Academic and Relations Strengthening General Coordination; Management Control Office; Logistics and Safety Office, Infrastructure Office; and Academic College Technical Office.

Purpose

Promoting the correct development that allows to carry out the University’s object, being a support instance to University General Rectorate to help with administrative management and administrative relations functions among the University General Rectorate and Campuses, based on a participatory approach within the decentralization framework as well as for the Rector General representation in labor relations and to external instances.

Assignment

Arranging the necessary Administrative activities to carry out the substantive University functions, coordinating with the University Campuses the fulfillment of administrative processes based on technical specialization, honesty, responsibility and integrity, according to National and University Legislation and the promotion of the correct use of human, financial and patrimonial resources.

Perspective

Being the strategic support instance that guarantees appropriate development of the University’s substantive activities through the systemization of effective and efficient administrative process based on ethical, equity, transparency, and accountability report principles to contribute to the achievement of institutional objectives.
