Earthquake Protocol

In case of earthquake

The objective is to PROTECT the UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY in the presence of an earthquake movement.

If you perceive an earthquake movement or the SEISMIC ALERT is activated, you must stop your activities and locate yourself in the LESS RISKY ZONE

There, you will have to wait several seconds until the earthquake movement has stopped;

It is important to REMAIN CALM at all times.

The SEISMIC ALERT manifests itself with an intermittent sound; "SEISMIC ALERT" is heard for a few seconds.

Remember to PROTECT YOURSELF, stay away from windows, furniture and objects that could fall or slide.

 

In the event of an earthquake, before, during and after

BEFORE:
LOCATE the LESS RISKY ZONE, the EVACUATION ROUTE and the MEETING POINT on the ground floor.

 

DURING:
REMAIN CALM AT ALL TIMES, WITHDRAW and stay in the LESS RISKY ZONE for the duration of the earthquake movement.

 

AFTER:
Follow the instructions of CIVIL PROTECTION and carry out the EVACUATION Protocol of the facilities through the stairs, following the EVACUATION ROUTE towards the ground floor.

 

Withdraw to the Lower Risk Zone
This place is SAFE to stay during an EARTHQUAKE movement.

Exit, Evacuation Route

The Evacuation Protocol begins once the EARTHQUAKE movement is over or when a FIRE occurs, prepare to EVACUATE the property through the Emergency Exit to the MEETING POINT located in the parking lot on the ground floor.

Important:
Take your belongings considering that you cannot recover them later.

DO NOT USE ELEVATORS.

Walk QUIETLY, FAST and in an ORDERLY MANNER.

DO NOT USE your mobile PHONE and watch where you are walking.

Be careful, the floor can be slippery.
